Late 19th Century Pine Kitchen Dresser with Open Shelving

A characterful late 19th to early 20th century pine kitchen dresser, combining generous open shelving with a useful two-door cupboard base.

The upper section features two broad open shelves backed with narrow vertical timber boards, offering plenty of space for displaying ceramics, glassware, books or decorative objects. Beneath, the wide pine work surface provides a practical serving or display area.

The lower cupboard has two panelled doors with simple moulded detail, opening to reveal a spacious interior with a fixed shelf. The piece stands on small rounded feet and retains a wonderfully understated country-house appearance.

The pine has developed a soft, pale surface with areas of deeper tone, wear, knocks and colour variation that give the dresser genuine character. The backboards to the upper section show especially attractive tonal variation, adding to its rustic appearance.
