Swedish Art Glass Model 4135-330 Vase by Vicke Lindstrand for Orrefors, 1950s
An exceptional example of Swedish mid-century art glass, this Orrefors Model 4135-330 was designed by the celebrated Swedish designer Vicke Lindstrand during the 1950s.
Executed in beautifully cased glass, the vase features soft opaline white encased within translucent pale green glass, creating a flowing spiral that appears to move as the light passes through it. Its sculptural hourglass form, broad flared rim and substantial weighted base demonstrate the refined craftsmanship that established Orrefors as one of the world's leading art glass manufacturers during the post-war period.
Lindstrand was one of the most influential Scandinavian glass designers of the twentieth century, renowned for combining elegant organic forms with innovative glassmaking techniques. Model 4135-330 perfectly captures this philosophy, functioning equally well as a sculptural object or striking centrepiece.
Wheel engraved to the underside "Orrefors 4135-330", confirming authenticity.
